KLG has long worked with insurers, third party claims administrators and self-insured companies to defend against claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, construction matters, consumer protection and unfair settlement claims. The firm has successfully litigated and tried cases before juries in state and federal courts throughout New England on claims involving such diverse areas as medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, liquor liability, construction defects, and alleged civil rights violations. KLG has also worked closely with insurance companies to defend insureds before licensing boards.
Our attorneys understand the importance of keeping clients apprised of case status and are experienced in preparing regular, timely and comprehensive status reports that enable claim representatives to monitor and manage litigation. We are experienced in preparing realistic and cost conscious litigation budgets. We strive to keep clients and claims professionals fully informed of the status of each case, while also working closely with insureds to ensure that they are receiving quality and successful representation. We realize the importance of providing accurate budgets, as well as timely analyses of the likelihood of success and possible exposure (assuming liability) to allow clients and claims professionals to accurately weigh the pros and cons of trying or settling cases and to allow claims professionals to accurately set reserves.
As part of our comprehensive litigation services we have working relationships with a variety of expert witnesses including physicians, nurses, toxicologists, engineers and architects who are able to produce comprehensive reports and persuasive expert testimony. We also have access to experienced and confidential investigators that allow us to obtain information in conjunction with traditional discovery.
We have worked closely with third party administrators including: Western Litigation; Sedgwick Claims Management Services; Premier Claims Management, LLC and Gallagher Bassett Claims Services.
